| One of the most popular themes in studies and showcars on automotive exhibitions was headlamps and rear lamps equipped with Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs). LEDs do not experience mechanical wear and tear which results in an almost unlimited lifetime compared to that of the automobile. This, in turn, offers new possibilities in designing the front module of the car and the packaging in de motor compartment since service and maintenance access or bulb exchange are no longer required. |
