Automotive : Safety Systems : Vision Systems (Night, Fog, Avoidance, Tracking)

| Vision systems can be divided in two groups: active and passive systems. Active systems emit near-infrared light to illuminate objects or conditions ahead of the car. Sensors mounted on the car detect the reflected lights from those lamps. Passive systems simply receive heat energy reflected off objects. |
