The MLX16204 is a vehicle designed for software development of the MLX16205. The MLX16204 is intended to be used only on small sample basis for software evaluation and software qualification of the MLX16205. Volume production is intended to be with the MLX16205.
The MLX16204 is a multiple purpose intelligent relay driver ASIC designed for automotive applications. It uses the MLX16-16 Bit parallel µC of Melexis. An array of integrated analogue and digital features allow for design of different automotive applications using only a few external components. Different interrupts allow the IC to act on real time events. The circuit is load dump protected for a 40V load dump pulse.
