The MLX16205 is a multiple purpose intelligent relay driver ASIC designed for automotive applications. It uses the MLX16-16 Bit parallel µC of Melexis. An array of integrated analogue and digital features allow for design of different automotive applications using only a few external components. Different interrupts allow the IC to act on real time events. The circuit is load dump protected for a 40V load dump pulse.
